چکیده

There has been considerable recent progress in identifying candidate materials for the transverse-field Ising chain (TFIC), a paradigmatic model quantum criticality. Here, we study local spin dynamical structure factor of different components disordered region TFIC. We show that low-frequency dynamics spins Ising- and directions have strikingly distinctive temperature dependencies. This leads to thermal-activation gap secular term NMR $1/T_2^{\prime}$ relaxation rate be half $1/T_1$ rate. Our findings reveal new surprise nonzero-temperature venerable TFIC uncover means evince material realization universality.

Quantum quench in the transverse-field Ising chain.

We consider the time evolution of observables in the transverse-field Ising chain after a sudden quench of the magnetic field. We provide exact analytical results for the asymptotic time and distance dependence of one- and two-point correlation functions of the order parameter. We employ two complementary approaches based on asymptotic evaluations of determinants and form-factor sums. We prove ...

Observing the nonequilibrium dynamics of the quantum transverse-field Ising chain in circuit QED.

We show how a quantum Ising spin chain in a time-dependent transverse magnetic field can be simulated and experimentally probed in the framework of circuit QED with current technology. The proposed setup provides a new platform for observing the nonequilibrium dynamics of interacting many-body systems. We calculate its spectrum to offer a guideline for its initial experimental characterization....

Low temperature relaxational dynamics of the Ising chain in a transverse field

Real time, non-zero temperature (T ), correlation functions of quantum many body systems are directly related to the observables of many experiments. For strongly interacting systems, there are few quantitative results on the relaxation and transport processes that are believed to occur at long times at any T 6= 0. Monte Carlo and perturbative methods work best in imaginary time, but the analyt...

Numerical study of the random transverse-field Ising spin chain.

We study numerically the critical region and the disordered phase of the random transverse-field Ising chain. By using a mapping of Lieb, Schultz, and Mattis to noninteracting fermions, we can obtain a numerically exact solution for rather large system sizes, L<128. Our results confirm the striking predictions of earlier analytical work and, in addition, give results for some probability distri...

Magnetic Grüneisen ratio of the random transverse-field Ising chain

The magnetic analog of the Grüneisen parameter, i.e., the magnetocaloric effect, is a valuable tool for studying field-tuned quantum phase transitions. We determine the magnetic Grüneisen parameter of the one-dimensional random transverse-field Ising model, focusing on its lowtemperature behavior at the exotic infinite-randomness quantum critical point and in the associated quantum Griffiths ph...
